PROJECT UPDATE: Brooke Mead extra care housing development, Brighton

Our work is nearly complete at the Brooke Mead Extra Care Housing development in Albion Street, Brighton.

The £12m project is on the site of former council-owned sheltered housing which was demolished to make way for the new apartments. The scheme, which is primarily targeted at people with low to moderate dementia, will provide 45 one bedroom homes, new communal spaces, landscaping, cycle and scooter parking as well as new community facilities such as meeting rooms and cafés.

We've been on site since April to install aluminium casement windows and a range of residential, commercial, composite and steel doors on behalf of Willmott Dixon.

We selected Sapa Dualframe 75 Si for the aluminium casement windows and a range of different door specifications due to the different uses throughout the building:

- Jack TD68 aluminium commercial doors
- Aluprof - MB-78EI single residential doors
- Prima Doors Flame Guard steel doors
- IG Fibre Colour single residential doors

The project is due to be completed by the autumn.
