Our team is making great progress at the Eliot College Extension on the University of Kent campus.
The Dualframe 75Si windows and Stormframe II doors, both from Sapa Building Systems, have all been installed now so the team have moved on to cladding fixings with the majority of the brackets now fixed to the wall. The next step will be to install the cladding rails and Kingspan K15 insulation in preparation for the arrival of the cladding panels in the first week of August.
Working alongside DCB (Kent) Ltd, we were asked to match the cladding with the existing Eliot College that sits just behind the extension building. After reviewing several samples, we selected 8mm Tectiva panels from Marley Eternit's Equitone range which is characterised by the fine sanded lines and natural occurring hues within the fibre cement material.
Work is due to be completed by the end of August. Keep your eye out for a timelapse video showing the cladding being installed.
